GoPro & Mobile Holder For Your Wheelchair
As a wheelchair user and blogger, I wanted to securely attach my GoPro and phone to my wheelchair, ensuring they were always readily accessible for capturing moments and describing situations or places when necessary. Additionally, this setup improved my phone usage, addressing my challenges related to my dexterity and grip.
I searched the internet for suitable options, having previously tried various alternatives that didn’t quite meet my needs. My results were limited and the one solution that did seem perfect came with a hefty price tag of over $1000, which was beyond what I was willing to spend.
However, the very next day, I noticed the desk armrest I had purchased for my husband and a brilliant idea struck me. It bore a striking resemblance to the swing-away arm I had seen previously. Without hesitation, I ordered another one from Amazon, and from that point onward, my journey was set in motion.
To bring my idea to life, I acquired three items, all amounting to a total of £61.97 at the time of purchase. This marked a significant contrast to the nearly thousand-dollar price tag I had initially encountered.

Ergonomic Arm Rest Support
I removed the arm pad by removing the material to access the screw inside and take that part off.
I then clamped the armrest to the swing-away plate that my wheelchair controller is attached to. (You could attach it to your armrest also).
I then attached the phone & Gopro clamps to the section that had the arm pad.
Handlebar Mount For Gopro
I used this for my GoPro as it has a screw head attachment. This enables my Gopro to sit in any direction. This is helpful when placing items so close together.
Universal Phone Mount
My mobile phone holder has a good safe grip on my phone. I’ve tried shaking it and it doesn’t move. It is also multi-directional so I can have my phone sit in the correct position for me to use.
